(CT) – On the afternoon of May 5, the People's Council of O Mon district, term XII, term 2021-2026, held its seventh meeting (thematic session) to carry out personnel work under the jurisdiction of the district People's Council. Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hai, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; the delegates of the People's Council of the city, O Mon district.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Hai, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Council and Mr. Nguyen Hoang Ba, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Council presented flowers to congratulate Comrade Vo Anh Huy, the new Chairman of the District People's Committee and Mr. Le Viet Si, former Chairman of the People's Committee of O Mon District.

At the meeting, the People's Council of O Mon District elected Mr. Vo Anh Huy, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the 12th District People's Committee, term 2021-2026. At the same time, dismissing the title of Member of the District People's Committee for the term 2021-2026 for 3 comrades; elect additional members of the District People's Committee for the term 2021-2026 for 2 comrades.

Previously, on April 26, 2023, the Standing Board of the Can Tho City Party Committee decided that Mr. Vo Anh Huy should resign from the position of Chief of the Office of the City Party Committee, mobilize and appoint to join the Party Executive Committee, the District Standing Committee. Party Committee and holds the position of Deputy Secretary of the O Mon District Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term; assigned the Party Affairs Committee of the City People's Committee, the Standing Board of the District Party Committee of O Mon District to lead and elect to hold the position of Chairman of the O Mon District People's Committee for the term 2021-2026 in accordance with regulations. The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to transfer Mr. Le Viet Si, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the O Mon District People's Committee to the Department of Justice to receive the task; assigned the Party Affairs Committee of the City People's Committee to lead and appoint Mr. Le Viet Si to hold the position of Director of the City Department of Justice.
