(CT) – On May 18, the Can Tho Women Entrepreneurs Association (Cawe) celebrated its 1 year anniversary. Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee; Mr. Duong Tan Hien, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee and Mr. Nguyen Van Hong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee attended.

Cawe representative received a certificate of merit from the City People's Committee and a certificate of merit from the Vietnam Association of Women Entrepreneurs.

After 1 year of establishment, the total number of members of Cawe increased to 199 members. Cawe's activities are increasingly spreading and affirming their position in the business community of Can Tho city as well as in the community of Vietnam Women Entrepreneurs Association. The Association's Executive Board has always been exemplary in taking the lead in activities that create peace of mind and inspire by overcoming difficulties for members to share and learn from. Cawe also coordinated with the State Bank of Vietnam Can Tho branch to organize a financial forum to facilitate members to update ADB's preferential policies for female business owners; supporting policies to improve personal capacity and business administration skills, aiming to promote gender equality and promote the role of women in the economy. At the same time, signed cooperation agreements with the Business Association and the Young Entrepreneurs Association of Can Tho City to cooperate in business connection activities, dialogue with local authorities and departments. Cawe also focuses on social welfare activities: building a shelter of love, organizing the Mid-Autumn Festival for disadvantaged children, establishing a "zero dong supermarket" to give love...

Speaking at the Celebration, Mr. Duong Tan Hien wished and expected Cawe members to continue to uphold the spirit, join hands to gradually overcome the remaining shortcomings, limitations, and strive for excellent completion. future goals and missions, always proud and worthy of the core value of "Fortitude - Aspiration - Kindness". The city will always accompany and create conditions for the business community to develop production and business, actively contribute to the overall development of the city.

On this occasion, Cawe received the Certificate of Merit from the People's Committee of Can Tho City for his achievements in contributing to the city's socio-economic development. At the same time, admitting 16 new members and giving 120 million VND to the Youth Union and Women's Union of Can Tho City to build a loving home and give gifts to soldiers in the Truong Sa archipelago.
