(CT) – On May 17, the Executive Committee of the Binh Thuy District Labor Confederation held the official session of the 4th District Trade Union Delegates Congress, term 2023-2028. This is the unit chosen by the City Labor Confederation as a point university. Leaders of Can Tho City Labor Confederation, leaders of Binh Thuy district, and 120 official delegates representing 4,091 union members in the district, attended the University.

Leaders of the Labor Confederation of Can Tho City, Binh Thuy District presented flowers to the Executive Board of the Binh Thuy District Trade Union, term IV, term 2023-2028. 

For the term 2015-2020, period 2020-2023, Binh Thuy District Labor Confederation achieved and exceeded all 12 targets set out by the University resolution. The district trade unions focus on taking care of and protecting the legitimate interests of workers, officials and employees. Every year, the district Labor Confederation directs the grassroots trade unions directly under it to coordinate with the authorities at the same level to organize conferences of cadres, civil servants and public employees; employee conference reached 100% set target. In addition, the district Labor Confederation mobilized resources to take care of union members and employees affected by the COVID-19 epidemic; giving many scholarships and gifts to children of workers, officials and laborers with a value of over 1 billion VND; building and handing over 26 "trade union shelters". The district Labor Confederation also maintains the effective operation of the model "The Trade Union joins hands to support members with extremely difficult circumstances", the model "The Trade Union cooperates to associate vocational training with job creation for employees in Binh Thuy district", signed the program "Welfare for union members" with many businesses…

For the term of 2023-2028, the Executive Board of the Binh Thuy District Labor Confederation identified the breakthrough as "Innovating the content and mode of operation, focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in non-state areas".

The University elected the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of Binh Thuy District, term IV, term 2023-2028, including 13 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Hong Loan was elected Chairman of the District Labor Confederation.
